Long-Distance Group Transportation to and From Maine — Across New England and Beyond
We drive groups throughout New England and the Northeast — and when the trip calls for it, well beyond. A multi-day corporate retreat, a cruise port three states away, a run down to D.C. As long as your trip starts or ends in Maine, we’ll get your whole group there and back in one of our Ford Transit vans. Owner-operated, planned route by route, serving Maine groups since 2010.
What we do
Most ground transportation companies hand long trips off to a broker or simply turn them down. We don’t. When a delegation of Maine fishermen needed to be in Washington, D.C. for meetings on Capitol Hill, we drove them down, got them to their hotel, took them to the Capitol the next morning, waited, picked them up right outside the Senate chamber when they were done, and drove them home to Maine. One driver, one van, the whole trip — there and back.
That’s the kind of reach we’re built for. And while most of our trips stay within New England, we’ll take your group well beyond when the trip calls for it.
- Corporate retreats and off-site conferences
- Corporate event transfers and group shuttle services
- Conference and convention groups
- Cruise port transfers to Boston, New York, and beyond
- Reunions, sports trips, and group getaways
You’re working directly with a small, Maine-based business that’s been moving groups since 2010 — one person plans your trip and sees it through, from the first call to the drop-off back home.
How it works
1)Call us with your itinerary – Where you’re going, when, how many people, and what you need along the way.
2)We plan the route, timing, and stops around your schedule.
3)You get a clear estimate before anything is locked in.
4)We drive. You relax.
Long trips are planned around proper rest, never pushed straight through. Any multi-day run always includes an overnight stop, so your driver starts each day fresh and sharp. And on a long haul home, if it makes sense, we’ll have a second driver meet the van in Maine to take the final stretch. We’d rather plan in a little extra time than ever put a tired driver on the road with your group.
Pricing & What's Included
Every long-distance trip is priced individually, because no two are alike. What you pay depends on how long you’ll actually be on the road, the distance, and the tolls along your route — so instead of a one-size-fits-all rate, we build an estimate around your specific trip.
A few things that work in your favor:
- You’re charged for actual drive time only. When the van is parked overnight and the driver is resting, the clock isn’t running — you don’t pay for sleep.
- Included: the van, fuel, your professional driver, and all the route planning.
- You cover: the driver’s hotel room(s) on overnight trips, and any tolls along the way.
Multi-day trips require a $200-per-day deposit to reserve (non-refundable). We give estimates, not quotes. Call (207) 482-3778 with your itinerary and we’ll walk you through the full cost before you commit to anything.
Frequently Asked Questions
How far will you take us?
As long as your trip starts or ends in Maine, we’ll take you anywhere in the country. We’ve driven groups as far south as North Carolina, and we’ll go wherever your itinerary leads.
How does an overnight or multi-day trip work?
You book the group’s hotels and cover the driver’s room. We plan the driver’s rest around your schedule so the timing works and everyone stays safe. And because you’re only charged for actual drive time, those overnight hours don’t add to your bill.
What does a long-distance run cost?
It depends on the trip — season, time on the road, distance, and tolls all factor in, so we price each run individually rather than quoting a flat rate. You’re charged for actual drive time only, and you cover the driver’s hotel and tolls. Call (207) 482-3778 with your route and group size and we’ll give you a full estimate.
How does driver rest work on a long trip?
We plan every long trip around proper rest. Any multi-day trip always includes an overnight stop, so your driver starts fresh each morning. On a long drive home, if it makes sense, we’ll have a second driver meet the van in Maine and take the final stretch. The point is simple: you always have a rested, alert driver, and it’s worked out before you leave.
Can you handle a large group or multiple vans?
Yes. Each 15-passenger van seats 14 guests plus the driver, and we coordinate multiple vans for larger groups so everyone travels together on the same schedule.
What about luggage?
Our 12-passenger vans have extra interior room built in for bags. For a full 15-passenger group carrying a lot of luggage, we can mount an exterior cargo rack on the back of the van that holds up to five large bags. Tell us what you’re bringing when you call and we’ll set the van up to fit it.
How do we book?
Call (207) 482-3778 with your itinerary. We’ll plan the trip, give you an estimate, and take a card to reserve your dates. Multi-day trips require a $200-per-day deposit (non-refundable) to hold.
Why not just rent a bus?
Vans give you more flexibility for less — no per-mile fees, no CDL logistics, and we can adapt on the fly if your plans shift. Best of all, you deal directly with a small Maine business the whole way.
